Let's just say this collection was devoid of the reoccurring predominant pastel palette seen so far in Fashion Week(s), and more of a garishly loud palette. Bold block colours teamed with persona's which wave the feminism flag, sprinkled with encrusted coloured ornamentation (notably of a different colour to what is already on said article of clothing). Forget Mies van der Rohe's 'less is more' and well.. it seems 'more is more' reigns supreme. And while you thought sports luxe may have started to take its toll, this collection takes it to new heights in what I could only term as 'athleticism luxe', what with the hockey socks and the distinct presence of rubber on shoes - much like the ones on the soles of your trusty runners.
What else do we take away from this season? Perhaps the outward appearance of undergarments, a la Regina George, but less tasteless and more dolla dolla bill ya'll? While this season perhaps didn't steal too much of my heart, there was a definite direction to taking stance on power to femininity and less crowd pleasing and for that, I still love you Miuccia!
